The SEEED STUDIO CAN-BUS Shield v2 is designed to add CAN-BUS capability to your Arduino projects. By utilising the Microchip MCP2515 controller and MCP2551 transceiver, this shield allows you to transform an Arduino board, such as the Arduino Uno, into a fully functional CAN-BUS node, making it suitable for automotive and industrial applications.
This shield implements CAN V2.0B at speeds of up to 1 Mb/s and supports both standard (11-bit) and extended (29-bit) data and remote frames. It features two receive buffers with prioritised message storage, ensuring efficient data handling. For connectivity, it includes an industrial standard 9-pin sub-D connector with selectable OBD-II and CAN standard pinouts, alongside a screw terminal for easy connection of CAN_H and CAN_L lines.
Further expanding its versatility, the board comes equipped with Arduino Uno pin headers, a Micro SD card holder, and two Grove connectors (I2C and UART). The SPI interface supports speeds of up to 10MHz. Customisation is straightforward with a changeable chip select pin, a changeable CS pin for the TF card slot, and a changeable INT pin, allowing you to tailor the shield to your specific project requirements.
