SEEED STUDIO Grove GSR Sensor

The SEEED STUDIO Grove GSR Sensor is a compact and versatile tool designed for biofeedback and emotional response measurement. GSR stands for Galvanic Skin Response, a method that measures the electrical conductance of the skin. This sensor detects subtle changes in skin conductivity, which are directly linked to emotional arousal and sympathetic nervous system activity. When a user experiences stress, excitement, or other strong emotions, the body's sympathetic activity increases, prompting sweat gland secretion. This moisture enhances the skin's electrical conductivity, which the GSR sensor accurately detects and measures.

This board features a dual-mode input voltage, compatible with both 3.3V and 5V systems, making it highly adaptable for various microcontroller projects and development boards. Connectivity is simplified through the standard Grove connector, enabling plug-and-play functionality with a wide range of Grove-compatible base shields and systems. The sensor's sensitivity can be finely tuned using an onboard potentiometer, allowing for precise calibration to suit different applications and user baselines.

Supplied with comfortable finger straps that act as electrodes, the sensor provides a non-invasive and easy way to obtain readings.
