The Sensata / Airpax 67F070 is a subminiature bimetal disc thermostat, engineered for precision and reliability. Functioning as a fan close on rise switch, it features a positive snap action and a single pole/single throw design. This provides highly accurate sensing and switching within a single, compact device, offering fast response times and excellent repeatability for consistent performance.

The switching temperature is factory pre-set to 70°C with a reset temperature of 50°C, and is non-adjustable in the field, ensuring stable and dependable operation. Thermal conductivity is primarily achieved through the terminals and the included nickel-plated copper mounting bracket, making the unit ideal for both surface mount and ambient air sensing applications. For enhanced dielectric strength and VDE approval, a laminated plastic mounting bracket is also available as an alternative.

As part of the versatile Airpax™ 6700 series, this thermostat is perfectly suited for use on crowded printed circuit (PC) boards. Its gold-plated contacts ensure reliable switching and longevity, making it ideal for surface and air sensing on both PC boards and heat sinks. The device boasts an impressive operational life, offering up to 20,000 life cycles at its maximum standard amperage and up to 100,000 life cycles at its maximum gold contact amperage.

With an operating temperature range of -40 to 130°C and a contact rating of 1A at 120V AC or 1A at 48V DC, this thermal switch is a robust solution for a wide array of electronic protection and control tasks.
