The SHOWTEC Power DMX Trigger Playback Recorder is a compact and intuitive unit designed to record and trigger complex DMX lighting shows with ease. It simplifies show control by allowing you to record multiple sequences onto the included micro-SD card, which has ample capacity for shows lasting up to 24 hours. Each show can be configured to play once or loop continuously, providing flexible playback options for any event or installation.

For automated operation, the unit features versatile start options, including auto-start on power-up or a user-defined delayed start. A key advantage is its six GPIO (General Purpose Input/Output) pins, which enable external triggering. This allows your light shows to be started or stopped by a wide range of external devices such as standard switches, relays, or motion detection sensors, creating dynamic, responsive lighting environments.

Control and Connectivity

Offering multiple control modes including DMX, GPIO, manual, and remote, this recorder provides exceptional versatility for integrators and technicians. It supports a full 512 DMX channels across a single universe, with data transmitted via a standard XLR 3-pin connector for both input and output. For additional data input, an RJ45 port is also provided. The clear OLED display offers intuitive navigation and status information at a glance.

Power and Build

The unit is powered by a universal 100-240V AC power adapter (included), consuming just 6W, and outputs 12V DC. It is housed in a robust casing with dimensions of 115mm x 85mm x 45mm and features an IP20 rating, making it suitable for use in controlled indoor environments. The supplied power cable terminates in a UK Type G plug, commonly used in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Cyprus, Saudi Arabia, Malta, and other regions.
