STMicroelectronics fixed LDO voltage regulator with 3.3V output, 1.5A max current & AEC-Q100 qualification. Ideal for automotive power management.
The STMicroelectronics Fixed LDO Voltage Regulator provides a reliable 3.3V output with a maximum output current of 1.5A. Designed as a low dropout positive voltage regulator, it guarantees a maximum dropout of 1.2V at full load, which decreases at lower currents.
This device is pin-to-pin compatible with older 3-terminal adjustable regulators but delivers improved performance in terms of dropout and output tolerance. Unlike PNP regulators where part of the output current is wasted as quiescent current, the quiescent current in this regulator flows into the load, increasing efficiency. Stability is achieved with just a 10μF minimum capacitor.
On-chip trimming allows the regulator to reach a tight output voltage tolerance of ±1% at 25°C. It is qualified according to the AEC-Q100 specification for the automotive market and features internal power and thermal limits. It operates across a wide temperature range from -40°C to 125°C.
With dimensions of 43 mm x 33 mm x 15 mm and a weight of just 0.492 grams, this 3-pin surface-mount component is suitable for compact and demanding installations.
