STMicroelectronics L7915ACV -15V Negative Voltage Regulator 1.5A TO-220

The STMicroelectronics L7915ACV is a 1.5A fixed -15V negative voltage regulator supplied in a TO-220 package.

Overview

The L7915ACV is a 3-terminal fixed low-dropout (LDO) negative voltage regulator designed to deliver a stable -15V DC output. Local on-card regulation helps to reduce the voltage distribution problems and noise associated with single-point regulation systems. As part of the L79 negative series, which corresponds to the L78 positive series, it is well suited to constructing symmetrical split-rail power supplies.

Key Features

• Output current of up to 1.5A when provided with adequate heat sinking
• Thermal overload protection
• Short-circuit protection
• Output transition safe operating area (SOA) protection
• Output tolerance of ±2% at 25°C
• Can be used with external components to create adjustable voltage and current outputs
