TDK Epcos B722 metal oxide varistor, 25V ac, 0.7J. Protects against transient voltage spikes. UL94V-0 rated, epoxy coated.
The TDK Epcos B722 StandarD series round shaped radial leaded metal oxide varistors (MOV) offer reliable protection and control for electronic circuits. Designed with a wide operating voltage range, these SIOV varistors serve as effective control or compensation elements, ensuring optimal operating conditions or safeguarding against excessive transient voltages.
Featuring voltage-dependent characteristics, the B722 series provides robust defence against high transient voltage spikes. With high surge current ratings up to 8kA and a peak energy range from 0.3J to 410J across the series, this specific varistor handles a peak energy of 700mJ and a peak surge current of 100A at 8/20µs.
Safety and durability are paramount. The component is UL94V-0 rated for flame retardancy and features an epoxy resin coating. It boasts an endurance of 1000 hours at 85°C and operates reliably within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. Approved by UL, CSA, VDE, CQC, and IEC, it meets rigorous industry standards.
