The TDK Epcos B722 StandarD series comprises round shaped, radial leaded SIOV metal oxide varistors designed for robust circuit protection and control. These varistors feature a wide operating voltage range from 11VRMS to 1100VRMS, making them highly versatile for various electrical applications.
Functioning as control or compensation elements, they provide optimal operating conditions or protect circuits against excessive transient voltages. Their voltage dependent characteristics enable reliable protection against high transient voltage spikes, supported by high surge current ratings up to 8kA and a peak energy rating of 175J.
Safety and durability are paramount in their design. They are UL94V-0 rated for flame retardancy and feature an epoxy resin coating for enhanced protection. The varistors are approved by UL, CSA, VDE, CQC, and IEC standards, ensuring compliance and reliability in demanding environments.
