The TE Connectivity R Series is a precision metal film fixed resistor engineered for applications requiring high accuracy and long-term stability. The resistive element comprises a thin film of nickel-chrome alloy evaporated onto a high thermal conductivity ceramic element. Metal end caps are force fitted to the element prior to spiralling to the precise value, whilst tinned copper lead wires are welded to the end caps. The components are then carefully coated, with one coat of phenolic resin followed by three coats of epoxy resin, ensuring robust protection.

These precision metal film resistors are particularly suitable in all applications where long-term stability is important. They exhibit excellent stability under load and severe environmental conditions, alongside very low noise current and voltage coefficients. The broad operating temperature range from -65°C to 155°C ensures reliable performance in demanding environments.
