The SN74LVC2G125DCTR is a high-performance dual bus buffer gate with 3-state outputs, engineered by Texas Instruments. Designed for a broad operating voltage range from 1.65V to 5.5V, this device offers exceptional flexibility for mixed-voltage system designs. Its outputs enter a high-impedance state when the associated output-enable (OE) input is high, allowing for safe bus sharing and preventing data contention.
A key feature is the integrated Ioff circuitry, which disables the outputs during partial-power-down or power-off conditions. This prevents damaging current backflow through the device, ensuring protection and supporting live insertion applications. To guarantee a known high-impedance state during power-up or power-down sequences, the OE input should be connected to VCC via a pull-up resistor.
This buffer gate delivers high-speed operation with a maximum propagation delay (tpd) of just 4.3ns at 3.3V, making it suitable for demanding high-speed digital interfaces. It is characterised for rugged industrial use, featuring latch-up performance exceeding 100mA per JESD 78, Class II, and robust ESD protection that exceeds JESD 22 standards.
