Zinc-coated carbon steel coach screws (60mm, 8.0mm dia) for heavy-duty timber & masonry applications. Pack of 5.
Timco Hex Coach Screws are heavy-duty woodscrews designed for robust timber-to-timber applications, as well as attaching ironmongery to timber or masonry (with nylon plugs). Made from high-quality carbon steel with a zinc finish, these screws resist corrosion while ensuring long-lasting durability.
These screws feature a hex head for easy installation with a spanner or wrench, and a sharp point for quick penetration. The thread length is approximately two-thirds of the overall screw length (e.g., a 60mm screw has a 36mm thread). For hardwoods, pre-drilling pilot holes is recommended to prevent splitting.
With a thread diameter of 8.0mm and 60mm length, these coach screws are ideal for heavy-duty joinery, outdoor decking, fencing, and structural woodwork. The zinc plating provides extra protection against rust, making them suitable for exterior applications.
