The TT Electronics / Welwyn PCF Series precision thin film nichrome chip resistor offers reliable performance for electronic circuits. Featuring a thin-film material selectively deposited on a 96% alumina substrate with metallic contacts, this component ensures stable electrical characteristics. Unadjusted resistors undergo a heat treatment to achieve the required temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) and stability, followed by a precisely controlled laser trim process to set the exact resistance value.

Epoxy protection is applied to safeguard the element, while wrap-around terminations are added, plated with nickel and then tin. The passivated range provides superior humidity performance, and the standard termination is a 100% Sn matte plated wrap-around suitable for soldering. These resistors are ideally suited for handling by automatic methods due to their rectangular shape and small dimensional tolerances.
