It features a gallium arsenide (GaAs) infrared emitting diode that is optically coupled to a silicon planar phototransistor detector. This design ensures reliable signal transmission between two electrically separated circuits, making it an essential component for various electronic applications.
Key attributes of this optocoupler include a high current transfer ratio (CTR), low coupling capacitance, and a high isolation voltage of 5.3kV. It offers excellent CTR linearity depending on the forward current, alongside low CTR degradation over time.
