The VISHAY 136 RVI Series Aluminium Electrolytic Capacitor features a radial leaded polarized design with a non-solid electrolyte, providing excellent ripple current capability. Aluminium capacitors are highly suitable for addressing requirements such as low and high frequency filtering and energy storage, which demand high capacitance values and power ratings.
This device offers high capacitance-to-cost ratios, is compact compared with other technologies, and is relatively insensitive to voltage spikes. The construction includes an electrochemically etched aluminium anode foil forming the first plate, an oxide layer on the etched foil acting as the dielectric, and a paper spacer impregnated with fluid electrolyte forming the second plate. A second foil provides the other contact with the fluid electrolyte.
