ForgeFix ForgeFast Exterior Elite 2000 Pozi Wood Screws 5x70mm (Box of 120)
High-performance 5x70mm exterior wood screws with 2,000-hour corrosion resistance. Ideal for coastal & load-bearing construction.
The ForgeFix ForgeFast Exterior Elite 2000 Pozi Compatible Wood Screws combine advanced material science with innovative design to deliver exceptional performance in both commercial and residential applications. These screws are specifically engineered to withstand harsh exterior conditions thanks to the Elementech 2000 Coating System, which provides superior corrosion resistance – ideal for coastal environments where salt spray is a concern. A 2,000-hour salt spray test rating ensures durability in all weather conditions, making these screws perfect for outdoor projects.
Designed for efficiency, these wood screws feature advanced thread technology and a POZI-compatible recess, enabling faster and easier installation without the need for pre-drilling. The double cutting point reduces splitting and drive time, while also being capable of penetrating up to 0.8mm steel for versatile use. The serrated cutting thread ensures a firm fix with reduced torque, improving pull-out resistance. Additionally, the anti-friction thread prevents 'jacking' and rotation of adjoining timbers, minimising the risk of splitting.
Key features include a reinforced countersunk neck for enhanced holding power and six angled lobes for improved countersinking. The screws meet CE standards for load-bearing timber construction, ensuring reliability in structural applications. Environmentally conscious users will appreciate the Non-Cr, Cr3+ zinc surface coating, which lasts up to 30 times longer than standard zinc coatings while remaining eco-friendly.
