ForgeFix Form B Flat Washers, Zinc Plated, M8 Pack of 100
Durable M8 zinc-plated flat washers by ForgeFix—prevent loosening & corrosion in bolted joints. Pack of 100.
The ForgeFix Form B Flat Washers are crafted from high-quality steel and feature a zinc-plated finish for enhanced corrosion resistance. Designed to provide a smooth bearing surface for nuts and bolts, these washers help prevent loosening due to uneven fastening surfaces. Their primary function is to evenly distribute the load under bolt heads and nuts, ensuring secure and durable bolted connections.
Zinc plating prevents oxidation by forming a protective barrier while acting as a sacrificial anode if damaged. The resulting zinc oxide layer helps maintain surface integrity without degrading the substrate—similar to the oxide layers protecting aluminium and stainless steel. This makes the washers ideal for use in environments where moisture or corrosive elements are present.
