The Spectre screws feature a fully threaded shaft (up to 50mm) with a unique sawtooth thread design that prevents wood splitting while minimizing 'jacking'. The surface-hardened construction and Type 17 slash point ensure quick, effortless starts and excellent durability. Longer screws (50mm+) include a reamer to prevent material separation.

For corrosion resistance, these screws benefit from a zinc yellow passivated finish. This electroplating process – similar to galvanisation but with an added yellow dye – provides both enhanced protection and an aesthetically pleasing appearance. The screws are CE approved for use in load-bearing timber constructions, making them suitable for structural applications.
