Applications by Grade

Liberon Steel Wool comes in seven grades for different tasks:

• Ultra Fine (0000): Ideal for delicate polishing tasks.
  • Cut back between coats of French polishes, varnishes, and oil finishes.
  • Clean and polish bronze, copper, chrome, stainless steel, and aluminium.
  • Light sanding between varnish or paint layers.
  • Polish porcelain, marble, and glass without scratching.
• Fine to Medium (00, 0, 1): Best for light cleaning and prep work.
  • Remove wax build-up and dirt with Liberon Wax and Polish Remover.
  • Smooth wood or metal surfaces before polishing, waxing, or painting.
  • Clean metals effectively using a suitable solvent.
• Medium to Coarse (2, 3, 4): Designed for heavy-duty tasks.
  • Work with Liberon Fine Wood Stripper to strip old finishes.
  • Remove rust and stubborn deposits from metal surfaces.

If unsure, always start with a finer grade and work up as needed. The Grade 2 variant in this pack offers medium coarseness, making it versatile for heavy cleaning, paint stripping, and rust removal.
