Timco Heavy-Duty Hex Screws for Metal, 5.5x55mm, 100pc Pack
Timco's heavy-duty hex screws (5.5x55mm) feature self-drilling tips & corrosion-resistant coating - ideal for metal construction.
The Timco Heavy-Duty Hex Screws are engineered for robust construction applications, specifically designed for attaching metal to heavy section steel up to 12mm thick without the need for pre-drilling. These screws feature self-drilling points (No. 5), ensuring quick and efficient installation while saving time on your projects.
Constructed from case & core hardened carbon steel, these screws provide exceptional strength and durability. Their exterior plating is treated with a silver organic coating that offers reliable corrosion resistance, withstanding up to 500 hours of salt-spray testing — making them ideal for exterior applications where weather resistance is crucial.
The screws include a fixed EPDM washer (12.00mm diameter) that ensures a tight seal and prevents water ingress, further enhancing their suitability for outdoor use. The hexagonal head (8mm socket size) allows for secure torque application with compatible tools, reducing the risk of slippage during installation.
