Timco Metal Heavy Section Timber Screws, Zinc, 5.5x100mm, 100pc
Timco zinc-plated self-drilling screws for wood-to-metal fastening. 5.5x100mm, pack of 100. Ideal for heavy sections.
The Timco Metal Construction Timber to Heavy Section Screws are specifically engineered for attaching wood to heavy section steel up to 12mm thick. These high-performance screws feature a metric thread with innovative wing-tip technology, designed to ream out the timber, allowing the screw to achieve maximum RPM without burning out. Upon contact with metal, the wings break off, enabling the thread to self-tap into the metal, providing a secure and efficient fastening solution.
Made from case & core hardened carbon steel with a zinc finish, these screws offer exceptional durability and corrosion resistance. The countersunk head with ribs ensures a flush finish, while the Phillips recess allows for easy installation. Partially threaded for optimal performance, these screws are ideal for applications where wood needs to be securely fixed to heavy steel sections.
