Timco Metal Timber to Light Section Screws - 4.8x38mm (200pk)
Self-drilling screws for attaching wood to metal. Corrosion-resistant, hardened steel, pack of 200. Suitable for outdoor use.
The Timco Metal Construction Timber to Light Section Screws provide a reliable solution for attaching wood to metal sections up to 4mm thick. These self-drilling screws feature a coarse self-tapping thread with wings that ream out the timber, allowing the screw to achieve maximum RPM without burning out. Once the wings contact the metal, they break off, permitting the thread to self-tap into the metal smoothly.
Designed for exterior use, these screws boast a silver organic plating that offers superior corrosion resistance, capable of withstanding 500 hours of salt-spray testing—ideal for outdoor projects where durability is essential. The hardened carbon steel construction ensures long-lasting strength and reliability, while the countersunk head with ribs provides a flush finish and improved grip.
