ForgeFix High Tensile Set Screw ZP M6 x 16mm (Pack of 10)
Durable ForgeFix set screws (M6 x 16mm, grade 8.8 steel) with zinc plating for corrosion resistance. Sold in packs of 10.
The ForgeFix High Tensile Set Screw ZP M6 x 16mm is crafted from grade 8.8 steel, ensuring exceptional strength and durability. These set screws are zinc plated for enhanced corrosion resistance, making them suitable for various environments where longevity and reliability are essential.
Fully threaded and conforming to DIN 933 standards, they provide secure fastening for numerous applications. Compatible with most nut types and washers, these screws offer versatile usage across multiple projects.
Applications
Ideal for fastening together different materials or securing into pre-tapped holes, these set screws are widely recognised in engineering applications for their robustness and performance.
Corrosion Protection
The zinc plating acts as a barrier against oxidation and functions as a sacrificial anode if the protective layer is compromised. Zinc oxide, which forms naturally, helps maintain the substrate’s integrity, similar to the protective oxide layers found on stainless steel and aluminium.
