ForgeFix Roofing Bolt M8 x 80mm Zinc Plated, Pack of 25
Durable ForgeFix roofing bolts (M8x80mm) with zinc plating, ideal for outdoor and indoor use. Pack of 25 with square nuts.
The ForgeFix Roofing Bolt M8 x 80mm is a high-quality, double-slotted roofing bolt designed for durability and corrosion resistance. These bolts come with square nuts and feature a low-profile mushroom head, making them ideal for a range of applications beyond roofing. Their bright zinc-plated finish ensures enhanced resistance to rust, making them suitable for both interior and exterior use, even in harsh weather conditions.
Zinc plating acts as a protective barrier and a sacrificial anode, preventing oxidation and ensuring a long-lasting finish. Unlike iron oxide, zinc oxide does not compromise the substrate's integrity, maintaining the bolt's structural strength over time.
Application Tips
- Use with a slotted screwdriver matching the slot width to avoid damaging the screw head.
- Flared-tip screwdrivers are ideal for most applications.
- Parallel-tip screwdrivers should be used if the bolt needs to be driven below the surface.
Recommended Drill Size
- Always use a clearance drill that is 1mm larger than the bolt diameter (e.g., 9mm drill for M8 bolts).
These versatile bolts are perfect for joining materials securely and can be used not only in roofing but also in construction, DIY projects, and repairs where reliable fastening is essential.
