The Timco Timber to Light Steel Screws are specifically designed for attaching wood to light section steel (maximum 5mm thickness). These high-quality screws feature a coarse self-tapping thread with wing-tip technology, which efficiently reams out the timber to allow the screw to achieve maximum RPM without burning out.
When the wings hit the metal, they break off, allowing the thread to self-tap into the steel. The screws are made from case & core hardened carbon steel with a zinc finish for corrosion resistance. The countersunk head with ribs ensures a flush finish, while the Phillips recess provides secure driving.
