Zinc-coated for protection, these screws prevent oxidation by forming a robust barrier while acting as a sacrificial anode if the barrier is compromised. Unlike iron oxide, the fine white zinc oxide dust does not degrade the substrate, maintaining surface integrity and providing enhanced corrosion resistance—similar to the protective oxide layers on stainless steel and aluminium.
