ForgeFix High Tensile Set Screw, M5 x 30mm, Zinc Plated, Pack of 10
Durable zinc-plated set screws, M5 x 30mm. Grade 8.8 steel, fully threaded, DIN 933 compliant. Ideal for engineering & fastening.
The ForgeFix High Tensile Set Screw is crafted from grade 8.8 steel and zinc plated for superior corrosion resistance. These screws are fully threaded and fully compliant with DIN 933 standards, ensuring high performance in demanding applications.
The zinc plating provides a protective barrier against oxidation, safeguarding the screw and maintaining its structural integrity over time. If the coating is compromised, zinc acts as a sacrificial anode, preventing rust from spreading—similar to the protective oxide layers found on aluminium and stainless steel.
