ForgeFix zinc-plated M8 set screws, Grade 8.8 steel, DIN 933 compliant. Ideal for engineering & industrial applications.
The ForgeFix High Tensile Set Screws are crafted from grade 8.8 steel and feature zinc plating for superior corrosion resistance. Fully threaded and conforming to DIN 933 standards, these screws ensure reliable performance in various applications.
Key Features
- High tensile strength with Grade 8.8 steel ensures durability and load-bearing capability.
- Zinc plating (ZP) coating protects against rust and corrosion, extending the screw's lifespan.
- Fully threaded design provides strong and even fastening.
- Compliant with DIN 933 standards, ensuring consistent quality and compatibility.
Applications
- Suitable for fastening different materials together or securing into pre-tapped holes.
- Commonly used in engineering and industrial applications where high tensile strength is required.
- Works seamlessly with nuts and washers for enhanced stability.
Additional Benefits of Zinc Plating
The zinc coating acts as a sacrificial anode, preventing oxidation and rust. Unlike iron oxide, zinc oxide forms a stable, protective layer that does not degrade the metal underneath. This makes ForgeFix set screws ideal for environments prone to moisture or chemical exposure.
