ForgeFix Zinc Plated Roofing Bolts M6 x 20mm, Pack of 25
Rust-resistant ForgeFix zinc-plated roofing bolts M6 x 20mm, with square nuts. Suitable for interior & exterior use.
The ForgeFix Zinc Plated Roofing Bolts M6 x 20mm are high-quality fasteners featuring a bright zinc-plated finish for enhanced corrosion resistance. These double-slotted bolts come with square nuts and a low-profile mushroom head, making them ideal for both interior and exterior applications where exposure to weather conditions is a concern.
The zinc coating acts as a protective barrier against oxidation, ensuring a long-lasting finish. Even if the coating is damaged, zinc serves as a sacrificial anode, preventing rust formation. Unlike iron oxide, zinc oxide does not compromise the substrate's integrity, maintaining the bolt's structural reliability over time.
Applications
While primarily designed for roofing, these versatile bolts are suitable for various joining applications across different surfaces. For optimal installation, use a drill bit 1mm larger than the bolt diameter to ensure proper clearance.
Driving Tips
- Use a slotted screwdriver with a tip that matches the screw slot width to avoid damaging the bolt head.
- Flared-tip screwdrivers are ideal for most applications, while parallel-tip screwdrivers are recommended for countersinking.
This pack includes 25 roofing bolts, providing ample supply for your project needs.
