ForgeFix Zinc Plated Screw Eyes 35mm x 8G, Pack of 10
Zinc plated screw eyes (35mm x 8G) for corrosion-resistant cable/wire hanging. Pack of 10. Ideal for timber & wall plug installations.
The ForgeFix Zinc Plated Screw Eyes provide a corrosion-resistant fixing solution for attaching cables, wires and twine to timber and similar materials. These 35mm length, 8-gauge screw eyes feature a zinc plating that creates a protective barrier against oxidation, significantly extending their lifespan in interior and exterior applications.
Zinc plating acts as a sacrificial anode, continuing to protect the base metal even if the coating becomes damaged. The formation of zinc oxide (a fine white dust) doesn't compromise the structural integrity of the screw eyes, unlike iron oxide corrosion. When properly installed, these screw eyes offer reliable performance for various hanging and attachment needs.
For optimal results, we recommend drilling a pilot hole before installation, though the screws can be inserted directly into timber. They're also suitable for use with all standard wall plug types, providing versatility for different wall materials and applications.
