The HIROSE SMD Right Angle MicroSD Memory Card Connector offers a reliable interface for MicroSD cards with an 8-position female socket design. Featuring gold-plated copper alloy contacts and a black LCP insulator, this connector ensures excellent conductivity and durability. The push-push eject mechanism allows for smooth card insertion and removal, while the unique card slot design protects the connector from damage if a card is attempted to be inserted in reverse, allowing it to be re-inserted correctly.
Designed for surface-mount technology (SMT) with a reverse on-board mounting side, the connector includes metal shields with four connection points to the printed circuit board. This design assures a secure ground circuit connection and provides effective EMI protection. Despite its compact size, high-strength materials produce a strong and rigid structure. The card detection switch is normally open, making it suitable for industrial applications requiring consistent performance over 1000 mating cycles.
