The Kitronik Motor Kit for the BBC micro:bit provides an engaging and fun introduction to buggy robotics and coding. More than just a programmable buggy, learning to use all of the included features will give any budding roboteer a solid grounding in robotics as a whole.
This versatile buggy requires no soldering, making it accessible for beginners. It features two bi-directional DC motors for reliable movement, alongside on-board ultrasonic distance and line following sensors to navigate its environment. The kit also includes a Piezo sounder, a pen mount, and four full-colour programmable ZIP LEDs for customisable visual feedback. Two pin outputs are ideal for servo connections but can also be used for other inputs and outputs, expanding the project possibilities.
Designed for convenience, the battery holder is built directly onto the chassis, and a power switch is fitted to conserve battery life. The on-board edge connector allows for a simple code, plug, and play experience with the BBC micro:bit.
