PRO ELEC Earth Strap - 150mm M5
Professional tinned copper earth strap with M5 lug terminations. Ideal for bonding equipment housings, enclosures & ensuring electrical safety.
The PRO ELEC Earth Strap is a premium, high-conductivity earthing accessory designed for reliable safety bonding in a wide range of electrical installations. Manufactured by PRO-ELEC (UK) LTD, this essential component provides a robust and low-resistance path to earth, crucial for protecting equipment and personnel from electrical faults and static discharge.
Constructed from high-purity, tinned copper braid, this strap offers exceptional flexibility and durability. The tinning process provides a protective layer against corrosion and oxidation, ensuring long-term performance and stable electrical connectivity even in challenging environments. This flexible braided design allows for easy routing and installation in tight spaces where rigid conductors would be unsuitable.
Both ends of the strap are fitted with integral, pre-installed M5 lug terminations. This lug-to-lug configuration is ready for immediate use, saving valuable installation time. The lugs are designed for secure connection using an M5 bolt or stud, providing a firm, high-pressure contact point that minimises connection resistance. This strap is a fundamental part of the Pro Elec range of earthing strips, engineered to meet professional standards for electrical safety.
Applications
This earth strap is suitable for a wide variety of earthing and bonding applications. It is commonly used to create equipotential bonds on equipment housings, electrical enclosures, cabinets, and control panels. It is also ideal for bonding movable parts, such as doors on enclosures, to the main earth continuity conductor, ensuring safety during maintenance. Its versatility makes it a staple in industrial, commercial, and workshop settings.
