The Seeed Grove Digital Light Sensor is a high-resolution light-to-digital converter module, based on the TSL2561 IC, designed to accurately measure light intensity across a wide range of conditions. It converts light intensity into a digital signal via the I2C interface, making it easy to integrate with popular microcontroller platforms such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
This sensor features three detection modes — infrared, full-spectrum, and human-visible — allowing you to tailor your light measurements to your application needs. With a 16-bit digital output at 400kHz I2C fast-mode, it delivers high resolution and fast communication. Its dynamic range spans from 0.1 to 40,000 lux, ensuring reliable performance in both low-light and bright environments. Additionally, the module operates over a wide temperature range from -40°C to 85°C, making it suitable for demanding industrial or outdoor projects.
