The STMicroelectronics KF33BD-TR is a very low dropout voltage regulator with inhibit, designed to deliver a fixed 3.3V output with a maximum output current of 1A. Its exceptionally low dropout voltage of just 400mV and very low quiescent current make it particularly suitable for low noise and low power applications, especially in battery-powered systems.
This regulator features a shutdown logic control function (5-pin, TTL compatible), allowing the device to be used as a local regulator to put part of a board in standby, thereby reducing total power consumption. It requires only a 2.2µF capacitor for stability, saving space on the PCB. The device also includes logic-controlled electronic shutdown and internal current and thermal limit protections.
