Timco Drop Down Seal, 930mm x 40mm, Fire & Smoke Rated

The Timco Drop Down Seal is an innovative sealing solution that activates automatically when the door is closed, providing a clear and flat threshold without the need for high fixed thresholds. This makes it ideal for compliance with Part E and Part M of the UK building regulations, ensuring accessibility for disabled users and improving energy efficiency.

The seal forms an effective barrier against external elements, including climate extremes, noise, light, fire, smoke, and insects. Its surface-mounted design allows for easy retrofitting on timber door sets, with screws provided for quick installation. The seal can be fitted on either the inside (lock side) or outside (non-lock side) of the door, offering flexibility in application.

Key features include galvanised steel flat springs and reinforced actuators for durability, a 4-fin high-quality 'V' zero class PVC rubber seal (self-extinguishing), and a maximum drop of 14mm. The seal has been acoustically tested to BS EN ISO 140-3:1995 with a rating of up to 37dB Rw, fire-tested to BS476: Part 20/22:1987 for 60 minutes, and smoke-tested to BS EN 1634-3:2004.
