Timco intumescent strip, 10 × 4 × 2100 mm, self‑adhesive, Certifire CF846 certified for 30‑minute fire doors.
Overview
The Timco Intumescent Fire Door Strip is a safety component designed to upgrade doors so they meet 30‑minute fire‑resistance standards. It is intended for ‘fire only’ doors and expands rapidly when exposed to heat, sealing gaps around the door perimeter to stop the spread of flames and smoke.
Key Features
- Rapid multi‑directional expansion – creates a high‑pressure seal on heating.
- Mineral‑based formula – free of fibrous material and harmful chemicals, safe to handle.
- Moisture and chemical resistant – unaffected by humidity, atmospheric pollution or common household/industrial chemicals.
- Self‑adhesive backing – quick fit without additional adhesives or tools.
- Certifire CF846 certified – independently verified performance.
Performance & Durability
The strip has passed laboratory ageing tests that simulate 100 years of service, giving confidence in long‑term reliability. Its high‑pressure expansion works in all directions, ensuring an effective seal wherever heat is applied.
Installation
Each strip carries a self‑adhesive backing for straightforward installation. The bulk pack is supplied without an integrated brush seal, making it suitable where a standalone intumescent solution is required.
