Timco's 160mm intumescent pipe wrap provides 4-hour fire protection for pipes passing through walls/floors. 10-year guarantee.
The Timco Intumescent Pipe Wrap is a fire protection solution designed for installation around plastic piping or trunking passing through fire-resistant structures such as walls and doors.
Key Features
- Easy to place around pipes and trunking for simple installation
- Intumescent material is water-resistant, non-flaking, and difficult to tear
- Suitable for soil, waste, and drainage applications in above-ground installations
- Compatible with concrete, masonry walls, and concrete floor constructions
- Provides a 4-hour fire rating in both vertical and horizontal applications
- Comes with a 10-year guarantee for peace of mind
Fire Safety Performance
In the event of a fire, the intumescent material rapidly expands to crush the pipe or trunking, effectively sealing the area and maintaining the structural integrity of the surrounding elements. The wrap has been tested to provide a 240-minute fire rating.
Construction Advantage
During primary construction phases like floor casting, an additional tolerance is built-in to accommodate pipe wraps after mechanical and electrical services have been installed.
