The Timco Metal Construction Screws are specially designed for attaching wood to heavy section steel up to 12mm thick. These self-drilling screws feature a metric thread with wings that ream out the timber, allowing the screw to achieve maximum RPM without burning out. When the wings encounter metal, they break off, enabling the thread to self-tap into the metal. These screws are partially threaded for enhanced holding power.
The countersunk head with ribs ensures a flush finish in wood, while the Phillips recess provides secure and efficient driving. Made from case and core hardened carbon steel, these screws offer superior strength and durability. The zinc finish provides corrosion resistance, making them ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications.
