Timco self‑tapping pan head screw with PZ2 drive, carbon steel body and Cr3 zinc plating, size 10 × 2, conforms to BS 4174:1972.
Overview
The Timco S/Tapping Screw PZ is a high‑quality, self‑tapping fastener designed for robust metal‑to‑metal connections. It features a pan‑head that provides a larger bearing surface for superior clamping force and a low‑profile, flush finish. Crafted from durable carbon steel, each screw carries a specialised 60° self‑tapping thread that cuts its own mating thread in sheet metal, reducing the need for pre‑tapping. The fastener is finished with a Trivalent Chromium (Cr3) zinc plating, delivering excellent corrosion resistance suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. Conforming to BS 4174:1972, the screw offers consistent dimensional accuracy and reliable performance.
