The Dormer E500 HSS Coarse Straight Flute Tap is an extremely versatile tool designed for both hand and machine use. These taps are ideal for creating threads in through or blind holes across most materials, providing flexibility and precision in various applications. When working with blind holes, it's recommended to use straight flute taps in sets for optimal results. Each set includes three distinct taps, known as: * Taper/First tap * Second/Intermediate tap * Bottoming/Third/Plug tap
Crafted from high-speed steel (HSS), these metric coarse taps ensure durability and performance. The bright surface treatment enhances corrosion resistance, while the straight flute geometry facilitates efficient chip removal during operation.
