Dormer E500 HSS Coarse Tap, 14mm Bottoming, Straight Flute
High-speed steel Dormer E500 bottoming tap (14mm x 2.0mm) for precision threading in blind & through holes.
The Dormer E500 HSS Coarse Tap is a high-speed steel (HSS) bottoming tap designed for precision threading applications. This straight flute tap is extremely versatile and suitable for both hand and machine use, making it ideal for through or blind holes in most materials.
For blind holes, straight flute taps should be used in sets, consisting of three taps: the taper (first) tap, the second (intermediate) tap, and the bottoming (third or plug) tap. This ensures efficient and accurate thread creation.
