Dormer E500 HSS Coarse Tap, 4mm Bottoming, Straight Flute
Durable Dormer 4mm HSS bottoming tap with straight flutes for precision threading in through and blind holes.
The Dormer E500 HSS Coarse Tap is an essential tool for threading applications, designed for use both manually and in machines. Its straight flute design makes it extremely versatile, suitable for both through and blind holes in most materials. For optimal performance when tapping blind holes, it is recommended to use straight flute taps in sets consisting of three taps: taper (first tap), second (intermediate tap), and bottoming (third or plug tap).
This particular tap is designed as a bottoming tap, making it perfect for finishing threads close to the bottom of a blind hole. Made from high-speed steel (HSS), it ensures durability and long service life. The bright surface treatment and precision engineering to Class 2 tolerance (6H fit) guarantee high-quality, reliable performance.
