The Dormer E500 HSS Coarse Tap with straight flutes is designed for both manual and machine use, making it an extremely versatile tool for creating threads in a variety of materials. Its robust construction from high-speed steel (HSS) ensures durability and long service life, even under demanding conditions.
These taps are suitable for both through holes and blind holes, providing flexibility across different applications. When working with blind holes, they should be used as part of a set comprising three distinct taps: the taper (first) tap, the second (intermediate) tap, and the bottoming (third/plug) tap. This sequential usage ensures precise threading and optimal results.
