ForgeFix Roofing Bolt M8 x 60mm, Zinc-Plated, Pack of 25
Durable ForgeFix M8 roofing bolts, zinc-plated for corrosion resistance. Ideal for roofing and general fastening. Pack of 25.
The ForgeFix Roofing Bolt M8 x 60mm is a durable and versatile fixing solution designed for both interior and exterior applications. Featuring a low-profile mushroom head and double slotted design, these bolts come with square nuts for secure fastening. The bright zinc-plated finish significantly enhances corrosion resistance, making them suitable for exposure to various weather conditions without the risk of rusting.
Zinc plating works by forming a protective barrier and acting as a sacrificial anode if the barrier is compromised. The resulting zinc oxide layer ensures long-lasting protection, similar to the oxide layers found on aluminium and stainless steel. This makes the bolts ideal for environments where durability and longevity are critical.
Applications
These roofing bolts are not limited to roofing applications; they can be used in various scenarios where reliable joining of materials is required. When drilling, it’s recommended to use a clearance drill size 1mm larger than the bolt diameter for optimal fit.
Tool Compatibility
To avoid damaging the screw head, use a slotted screwdriver with a tip that matches the width of the screw slot. Flared-tip screwdrivers are ideal for most applications, while parallel-tip screwdrivers are recommended for driving screws or bolts below the material surface.
