ForgeFix Self-Tapping Pan Head Screws, Zinc-Plated, 2in x 8, Pack of 12
Corrosion-resistant ForgeFix self-tapping screws with Pozidriv drive, pan head, and zinc plating for durable fastening in various applications.
ForgeFix Pozidriv Self-Tapping Screws offer superior corrosion resistance thanks to their zinc-plated finish. The pan head design with a flat under-head surface ensures they lie flush on sheet materials, reducing deformation and providing a neat finish. These screws are self-tapping, creating their own thread in pre-drilled pilot holes for easy installation in sheet metal applications.
The single-threaded design enhances pull-out resistance, making these screws highly durable and reliable for a variety of applications. The Pozidriv drive system provides exceptional torque transfer, reducing the risk of cam-out and ensuring a secure, tight fit without slippage during driving. This is achieved through the four additional contact points in the screw head, which distinguish Pozidriv screws from standard Phillips drives.
Zinc plating offers dual protection—forming a barrier against oxidation and acting as a sacrificial anode if the surface is damaged. This prolongs the life of the screws, even in potentially corrosive environments. The fine zinc oxide layer that forms naturally further enhances protection, similar to the passivation layers found on stainless steel and aluminium.
