The ForgeFix TechFast Timber to Steel CSK/Wing Screws are designed for securely joining timber to steel frame buildings. Featuring breakaway wings, these screws create a clearance hole that protects the thread from engaging the timber while drilling. The wings ream the hole and break off upon contact with the metal surface, allowing the thread to engage directly with the metal for a strong and secure fastening.
These screws are fitted with a TORX® compatible insert, ensuring a higher power transmission and reducing the risk of tool slippage. The countersinking is improved with recessed ribs, facilitating better flush fitting.
