ForgeFix TechFast Timber-to-Steel CSK/Wing Screws 5.5 x 110mm (Box 50)
High-performance ForgeFix TechFast screws for timber-to-steel applications (5.5x110mm). Fire & corrosion-resistant, TORX drive.
The ForgeFix TechFast Timber-to-Steel CSK/Wing Screws are specially designed for joining timber to steel frame buildings, offering a reliable and efficient fastening solution. These innovative screws feature breakaway wings that create a clearance hole while drilling through timber, protecting the thread from premature engagement. Once the wings contact the metal surface, they break off, allowing the thread to engage securely with the metal.
Equipped with a TORX® compatible insert, these screws ensure a higher power transmission for easier and more secure fastening. The improved countersinking from recessed ribs provides a flush finish, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality.
These screws are fire and corrosion resistant, making them suitable for demanding environments. They comply with EU Safety, Health, and Environmental requirements, ensuring both performance and regulatory adherence.
With a No.5 drill tip, these screws are capable of self-drilling into heavy gauge steel up to 12.5mm thick, providing excellent grip and stability in steel frame constructions.
