The Sikkens Cetol HLS Plus Translucent Woodstain is a solvent-borne, semi-gloss woodstain designed for use as both a base stain and a finishing coat. Its low-build formula enhances the natural beauty of woodgrain while providing robust protection against environmental damage.
This highly translucent stain safeguards wood from UV radiation, mould, algae, peeling, and cracking. The microporous, water-repellent formulation ensures long-lasting durability.
Applications
As a finishing coat, it's ideal for exterior softwood and hardwood substrates including:
- Cladding
- Fascias and soffits
- Rough sawn timber
- Fencing
When used as a base stain, Cetol HLS Plus prepares timber for finishing coats of Cetol Filter 7 Plus or Cetol THB Plus (recommended for windows and doors). It can also serve as a standalone system for:
- Decking
- Garden furniture
- Cladding
Note: This product should not be used alone as a finish for hardwood timbers.
