The IRWIN® HSS TCT Tip Drill Bit is designed for precision drilling in hardened materials such as steel, cast iron, bronze alloys, and manganese alloyed steel using stationary machines. The drill bit features a C2 Tungsten Carbide Tip, which can drill through materials with a hardness of up to 50 Rockwell C. The four-facetted ground tip ensures low drilling pressure and perfect centring, enhancing accuracy and efficiency.
Constructed from Chrome Vanadium Steel and hardened to 56 Rockwell C, the drill bit offers superior durability and resistance to wear. For optimal performance and extended tool life, Irwin recommends using a 3-6% emulsion coolant while drilling. This prevents overheating and prolongs the bit’s sharpness.
