Timco Twin-Thread Woodscrews, PZ Double Countersunk, Zinc Plated (Size 8×1½, 40
Timco's 350-pack zinc twin-thread woodscrews (8×1½″, Pozi-drive) offer fast insertion & strong hold for timber/masonry. Double countersunk head.
The Timco Twin-Thread Woodscrews provide a reliable and efficient fastening solution for soft timber and masonry applications (when used with plastic plugs). Their innovative dual-thread design ensures fast installation while maintaining excellent pull-out resistance.
Crafted from high-quality C10-18 carbon steel and surface-hardened up to 750 HV, these screws resist torque shearing under load while maintaining a ductile core hardness of 450 HV. The 25° sharp point and single lead start enable quick penetration and improved thread acceptance in wood.
Key features include:
- Double countersunk head – Reduces head shear risk and aids countersinking
- 60° twin-threads – Provides faster insertion and superior holding power
- Partially threaded (above 1¼″ lengths) – Enhances grip in applications
- Zinc finish – Offers corrosion resistance for durability
These screws come with a PZ (Pozi) recess, requiring a PZ2 driver bit for secure installation. Ideal for carpentry, joinery, and light construction work where strong, lasting fastening is essential.
